New Business Development Manager

World Group has a diverse portfolio of companies, in which they offer leadership and support services for. The Business Development Manager will focus on a small portfolio of companies in order to grow business opportunities. Included in the portfolio is a custom powder coater company, providing a wide range of capabilities, including powder coating, engineering services, packaging, light assembly, and test laboratory. Also included in the portfolio is a metal finishing company, specializing in large volume production for some of the country’s leading manufacturers, yet still offering the care and attention to detail. The Business Development Manager is responsible for building new customer relations and sales.

Candidates must:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in business development and sales.
  • A minimum of 3 years of business-to-business sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to recognize and execute selling opportunities and solve problems.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Proven ability to network and build strong relationships with customers.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize.

Responsibilities:

  • Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers.
  • Prospect and contact potential customers.
  • Respond to all business development opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with key referral sources.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments.
  • Assist with creating sales material to present to customers.
